3 Year old program

Our 3-year-old classroom focuses on social development, early learning skills, and gentle structure. Children learn through play, hands-on activities, and daily routines that build independence and confidence. Our program supports the whole child — academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

Frog Street Curriculum for early childhood development

  • Play-based learning with gentle structure
  • Conscious Discipline approach focusing on emotional regulation and social skills
  • Encouraging independence in daily routines (self-help skills, transitions, clean-up)
  • Early literacy, math, and language development
  • Art, music, sensory play, and hands-on exploration
  • Faith-based learning through stories, songs, and daily prayer
  • Development of positive peer relationships and classroom routines
  • Safe, nurturing environment that supports each child’s unique pace

At St. Sebastian Academy, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom table and into everyday life experiences — including lunchtime.

For 3-year-olds, learning how to eat lunch with peers is an important part of early childhood development and future classroom success. Shared mealtimes help children build independence, practice social skills, and develop healthy routines in a structured, nurturing environment.

During lunch, children learn valuable skills such as:

Sitting and participating in a group setting

  • Practicing manners and respectful conversation
  • Following classroom routines and directions
  • Developing independence with opening containers, cleaning up, and self-care
  • Building friendships and confidence in social situations
  • These experiences help prepare children for future school environments where lunchtime, transitions, and group participation are an important part of the day.

Our lunch program is designed to be calm, supportive, and encouraging, helping children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually while developing lifelong habits for success.
