Mission Statement

St. Sebastian Academy provides a nurturing Catholic preschool environment where young children grow in faith, love, and learning. Guided by the teachings of Jesus Christ and the mission of the Catholic Church, we support each child’s spiritual, social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development through developmentally appropriate practices and strong partnerships with families.

Vision Statement

St. Sebastian Academy envisions a joyful, faith-filled preschool community where children experience God’s love each day, are respected as unique individuals, and are prepared to continue their educational journey with confidence, kindness, and a strong foundation in Catholic values.

Catholic Identity

St. Sebastian Academy is a ministry of St. Sebastian Church, with Catholic identity at the heart of all we do. Our classrooms are intentionally faith-filled, integrating prayer, scripture, saints, and the liturgical seasons into daily routines and learning experiences.

Children are guided to experience God’s love, develop virtues such as kindness, respect, and compassion, and grow in understanding of Jesus’ teachings. Through these practices, we prepare children not only for future academic success, but for a life rooted in faith, service, and love of God and neighbor. 

St. Sebastian Academy seeks and maintains accreditation through the Florida Catholic Conference and adheres to all requirements and standards set forth by the Conference. Our programs reflect the mission of Catholic education and meet the academic, faith-based, and operational expectations of Catholic schools in Florida. 

Philosophy of Early Childhood Education

At St. Sebastian Academy, we believe every child is a unique gift from God, created in His image and loved unconditionally. Our program provides a safe, nurturing, and faith-filled environment where children learn through play, hands-on experiences, and meaningful interactions.

Early childhood is a time of wonder, curiosity, and growth. We encourage creativity, independence, and a love of learning while supporting each child’s spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical development. Faith integration is central to our approach, with daily prayer, age-appropriate Bible stories, and the modeling of Christian values woven into classroom life.

We value strong partnerships with families and recognize parents as the primary educators of their children. Through open communication and collaboration, we support each child’s growth in partnership with home and parish.

St. Sebastian Academy follows the standards and requirements of the Florida Catholic Conference as part of our commitment to excellence in Catholic early childhood education.

Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Palm Beach Mission Statement

The Mission of the Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Palm Beach is to build learning communities, based on the Gospel message of Jesus Christ and rich in Christian values and tradition. Director's Message

Dear Families,

It is with such joy and gratitude that I welcome you to St. Sebastian Academy. This preschool has been created with a clear and heartfelt purpose—to provide a nurturing, safe, and faith-filled environment where young children can grow, learn, and truly thrive.

Working in early childhood education has been a passion of mine for the past 10 years. I have had the privilege of teaching children ages 2 through 5, and during that time I’ve seen just how meaningful these early years are in shaping a child’s confidence, curiosity, and love of learning. Stepping into the role of Director is incredibly exciting for me, and I feel so blessed to continue this journey in a new way—supporting not only the children, but also the families and teachers who make this community so special.

At St. Sebastian Academy, we believe in supporting the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Our classrooms are designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and independence, all while being rooted in strong Catholic values. Most importantly, we want every child to feel loved, supported, and confident each day they walk through our doors.

As a ministry of St. Sebastian Church, we are honored to partner with you in laying a strong foundation for your child’s future. Building trusting relationships with our families is so important to us, and we are committed to open communication and creating a warm, welcoming environment for everyone.
